Rugged, adaptable, multi-use and functional… These are the key ingredients that make or break the gear we use and rely on in the backcountry. Aligning with companies that truly make or break these standards makes our jobs in the outdoors a heck of a lot easier, not to mention drier. Our friends over at YETI Coolers are crushing the outdoor market with variety of products we use on a daily basis out in the field. These are some of our most note worthy.
The YETI Panga
Whether you are using it as a top pack to keep your gear dry until your next destination, or as a storage bag while at camp, the YETI Panga is worth it’s salt. The tough material with stands time after time of being lugged around, thrown up on boxes, used as a seat, and still maintains it’s strength and waterproof capabilities. Horses go down in bogs, torrential rain storms are bound to catch up with you, and other materials are bound to fail you. This is one, that hasn’t failed us yet.
Our outfit makes sure that you’ve got enough food to keep you fuelled up on your adventure. Getting this precious cargo to camp and keeping unwanted beasties out of the groceries is daily process. The YETI Coolers were the first ever to be Bear Retardant, and keep food from early expiration in the early part of the season.
The Hopper Soft Coolers are something that earn the name jack of all trades. Whether its a grocery drop, or keeping some of the gear safe and dry ( they’ve held anything from fresh and frozen produce to camera gear and sacred SD cards of the season, the structural frame of the ( tall one) make a great size for any job. It’s also dang handy when you need another set of hands to be able to throw the bag on as a backpack and continue about your work.
There’s always a million and one things going on in camp. Making sure to finish your morning coffee before it gets cold can often be like a relay race. The Rambler series ensures that your hot beverage will be waiting for you right where you left off when there needs a pause in your routine. Whether that’s lending an extra hand to finish tacking up in the morning, or enjoying a warm drink on the side of the mountain as you wait out a storm, this drink ware line keeps your beverage warm. The bottles have a wide variety of sizes that are tough enough to take a beating in your saddle bag all season long, and the Chug Cap keep you from drenching yourself as you ride down the trail from atop your horse.
As spring is wearing on for us all, the snow is starting to officially recede to the higher points of our home in the Rocky Mountains and spring bear hunts are on our minds. This weekend we are throwing some killer footage up on our YouTube Channel. There’s some close encounters, and merit in making every stalk count… because you never know what your game might do next.
